Thanks everybody who attended the Taking Care of the Tribe 2011 Pow Wow.

NAAP would like to thank everyone who came out to the Taking Care of the Tribe Pow-wow on Saturday. Thanks to your participation the entire day was filled with laughter, joy and even tears. This was the 5th Annual Taking Care of the Tribe Pow-wow and NAAP honored MC Tom Phillips, with a star quilt for his unwavering support of Pow-wow since it's inception. NAAP also presented the 1st annual, Evelyn Chapman award for Excellence in HIV Care and Prevention, to our very own Anna LeRoy, (Peer Advocate and Pow-wow Coordinator) for her dedication to the community and her outstanding work in HIV care and prevention! On behalf of everyone here at NAAP, thank you Anna, for your unwavering morale support, your outstanding character and your sense of humor that you bring with you to the office each and every day! NAAP would also like to thank all of our amazing volunteers who donated their time to help make this event possible and a very special thank you to Zane Lewis, of Larkin Street Youth Services, for providing HIV rapid tests throughout the day at the Pow-wow as well as all the vendors who came out in spite of the rain!
