Pow Wow, March 2010

The Taking Care of the Tribe Pow Wow, now in it's 4th year, commemorates the end of National Native American HIV Awareness day and is a celebration of life, cultures and community. This Pow Wow brings awareness to the impact that HIV/AIDS has had on our Native communities.

Sunrise Ceremony, March 2010

Now in it's 4th year, the Sunrise Ceremony takes place on National Native American HIV Awareness Day and the Spring Solstice. This ceremony pays tribute to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and welcomes the coming of brighter days and new beginnings. This annual event was sponsored by NAAP, API Wellness, The Native American Health Center and Bay Area American Indian Two Spirits.

Opening Ceremony for the US Conference on AIDS, 2009

Native American AIDS Project and fellow Native American HIV/AIDS Organizations Staff participated in the Opening Ceremony with drumming by the NAAP Singers and Prayer by Earl Neconie.
